Getting Started

How do I get started with MoolaMeter?

  1. Create an account - Sign up with your email address
  2. Set your starting balance - Enter how much money you currently have
  3. Add your income sources - Include salary, freelance, or other regular income
  4. Track your bills - Add rent, utilities, subscriptions, and other expenses
  5. View your projection - See where your finances will be in the future

What information do I need to provide?

To get accurate projections, you'll want to provide:

  • Current account balances
  • Income amounts and frequency (weekly, monthly, etc.)
  • Regular bills and their due dates
  • Credit card information for rewards optimization (optional)
  • Tax withholding information for tax estimation (optional)

Is MoolaMeter really free?

Yes! MoolaMeter is completely free to use. All core features including financial projections, bill tracking, income management, and basic reporting are available at no cost. We believe everyone should have access to financial planning tools.

Financial Projections

How accurate are the financial projections?

Projections are estimates based on the information you provide and are most accurate when:

  • Your income and expenses are regular and predictable
  • You keep your data up to date
  • You include all significant income sources and bills

Remember, projections are planning tools and actual results may vary due to unexpected expenses, income changes, or life events.

What if my income or expenses are irregular?

MoolaMeter handles various income and expense patterns:

  • Freelance income: Add projects as they come in, or estimate average monthly amounts
  • Seasonal work: Set up different income sources for different periods
  • Irregular bills: Use one-time expenses for occasional costs
  • Variable amounts: Update bills and income as amounts change

Account Management

How do I update my financial information?

You can update your information anytime:

  • Income sources: Go to the Income section to edit amounts, frequency, or add new sources
  • Bills: Visit the Bills section to modify amounts, due dates, or add new expenses
  • Account balance: Update your starting balance from the Dashboard
  • Personal info: Edit your profile information in Account Settings

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes, you have full control over your account and data. You can delete your account at any time from the Account Settings page. This will permanently remove all your financial data, projections, and personal information from our servers within 30 days.

How secure is my financial data?
